Terms Updated 1st January 2026
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using Our Service.
By signing up for our service, you agree to be bound by our terms and conditions, including Nominet’s .uk registrant terms and conditions and the Nominet dispute policy.
Summary
This Domain Name Registrant Agreement outlines the terms and conditions that you, the “Registrant”, “User”, “You”, “Your” must adhere to when registering, renewing, transferring, and managing domain names through neonmedia.uk, a trading name of Neon Media UK, the “Registrar”, “Us”, “We”.
By registering domain names with neonmedia.uk, you agree to be bound by these terms, as well as any relevant third-party terms.
These terms and conditions will apply for the duration of your domain name registration period. Renewing your domain name will signify your continued acceptance of these terms. If your domain name is deleted or transferred to another registrar, these terms will no longer apply.
As domain name registration policies are subject to rapid change, we reserve the right to update or amend these terms without prior notice. By continuing to use our domain name services, you accept any updated terms.
Your Obligations When Registering Domains
You agree that any domain registered via neonmedia.uk will:
- Not be used unlawfully.
- Not be registered in bad faith or be considered an abusive registration.
- Not infringe upon the legal rights of any third party.
Please note that while we will strive to register the domain you have requested, we cannot guarantee that it will be available.
As the Registrant, you are responsible for providing us with accurate information, including:
- The domain name you wish to register.
- Your name, address, email address, telephone number, and, if applicable, company name.
- Any additional information which may be required to register your desired domain.
These details are required and processed by the Registry, not by Neon Media UK. You must keep your contact information up-to-date for your domains.
Please be aware that if you provide incorrect or unreliable information and fail to update or respond to enquiries from Neon Media UK, you will be in breach of these terms. This may result in the suspension or deletion of your domain without refund or compensation.
Domain Auto-Renewal
Domains will be automatically renewed only if you have explicitly requested this option and only if there are no outstanding payments to Neon Media UK.
When Auto-renew is enabled, a renewal invoice for the domain will be generated at least 30 days before the expiry date and an email notification sent to you.
We will notify you via email once your domain name has been successfully renewed. You should not assume renewal until then.
Domain Renewal and Expiry
You acknowledge that we are obligated to send domain renewal notifications before your domain expiry date to your nominated email contact. The schedule of these renewal notifications is published on our website. It is your responsibility to ensure your contact details are up to date to ensure our email reminders are received.
At any time you can request to renew your domain even before the expiry date.
If there are outstanding payments to Neon Media UK and your domain name was not renewed before the expiry date then your domain will expire and will not be renewed by us.
Expired domains will usually stop resolving. This may affect email and web services associated with the domain.
Domain Refunds
Due to the personalised and bespoke nature of domain names, they are non-refundable in whole or part once the registration, transfer or renewal has been submitted to the registrar, even if the registration is suspended, cancelled or transferred prior to the end of the current registration term.
You are not entitled to a fourteen-day cooling-off period or right to cancellation as specified in the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 regulation 28 (b).
We are unable to change or edit the spelling of domain names after registration.
No refunds will be issued for domains which are deleted due to a breach of these or any relevant associated terms.
Recovering a Domain after Expiry
Recovery and renewal of a domain after expiry may be possible, however, you acknowledge that we offer no guarantees.
If the expired domain is within the Registrar’s ‘Renewal Grace Period’ then renewals will be charged at our standard renewal fees.
If the expired domain is not within the Registrar’s ‘Renewal Grace Period’, but within the ‘Redemption Period’ then domain renewal will be subject to an additional Recovery Fee plus the standard renewal fee. The Recovery Fee varies depending on the domain and we will inform you of this fee before you renew.
To renew a domain name which is in the ‘Redemption Period’ you must contact us via our Support Ticket system.
If you fail to renew an expired domain name within the registrars ‘Renewal Grace Period’ or ‘Redemption Period’ then it will be deleted by the Registrar and offered for re-registration on the open market.
Third-Party Terms
The registration, renewal, and use of your domain name are also subject to the third-party terms and conditions of the relevant domain registry. Registrants of UK domains (.uk, .co.uk, .me.uk, .org.uk, .ltd.uk) will enter into an agreement with Nominet UK, the Internet registry for .uk domain names.
Nominet’s terms and conditions can be found at:
- Nominet‘s Full Policies Library
- Nominet Registrant Terms & Conditions
- Nominet Domain Dispute Resolution Policy
Further Information
If any part of this Domain Name Registrant Agreement is inconsistent with the third-party terms for the domain name, then the third-party terms shall prevail.
Domain Disputes
We will act as your agent or on your behalf with any correspondence or dealings with the relevant domain name registry in the event of a dispute only if you explicitly instruct us to.
We will not be held liable if the domain registry revokes or suspends the domain name you have registered due to a dispute. Nor will we be liable if any dispute related to your domain name arises.
Domain Transfers
If you are requesting a domain name transfer, then you assure that you are the legal owner or have the authority of the legal owner to transfer the domain.
You acknowledge that we cannot guarantee your domain transfer will be successful.
